Nostrand Ave Solar is a community solar project located a multi-family building in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn pioneering a new model for small-scale community solar projects. The building owner, dedicated to going solar to reduce energy costs and switch to clean, renewable energy, initially considered a smaller system size to offset the building's common area energy costs. Eager to maximize the amount of solar energy on the roof, the building owner pursued a larger system that will offset energy costs and sell excess credits through community solar- a model other multi-family buildings can adopt across the city. Act fast; this small system will fill up quickly!
