Beechwood Homes recently went solar for the second time at their Jericho Headquarters. After installing an 89kW solar system in 2017 to power their own energy needs, the Long Island based company surveyed homeowners to gauge interest in a community solar project. Overwhelming interest spurred their second 50kW solar system that was built to provide a cleaner and lower cost energy option to Beechwood homeowners. The new system, which consists of 127 solar panels will provide energy for up to 20 homeowners throughout Beechwood Homes communities. The project is the first of its kind in the region and will serve as a model for many other similar communities.
